Dr. David Parish, son of Dr. J.T. Parish, preaches on the 21 critical elements of church planting movements.

Preaching primarily out of Daniel 11:32, "He shall seduce with flattery those who violate the covenant, but the people who know their God shall stand firm and take action," Billy calls us to know God in everything that we do.

As an introtuction to the New Testament survey, Billy teaches about the central importance of covenant to saving work of God in Christ.

Whenever we think that wht we can and cannot accomplish is dependent upon us, God leads us into brokenness.

There are expectations on our life now that we are members of the kingdom of God.  We cannot simply continue to live as though we walk in darkness.  Neither can we simply enjoy the blessings of the kingdom without walking in the way of the kingdom. This way is nothing other than a life of love with one another.  This kind of love is impossible with man, but it is possible with God via the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives

The gift that God gives in Christ teaches us his character and nature.

The life of a Christian is characterized by compassion for those in need.

Billy takes a close look at the parable of the good Samaritan suggesting an alternate way of interpretting it.

Billy runs through the passage in 2 Timothy on how the church ought to care for widows and draws from this three basic principles about how the church ought to care for those in need.

As we live in the body of Christ we are not at liberty to invent a church model.  It is neccesary for us, therefore, to shape our relationships after Biblical example rather than American values.

In the second night of the Great Three Church Round Up, Billy encourages us to consider one another as God considers us.

Our God is a consuming fire, burning jealously over the spirit that he has created in us.  Therefore, let us not be slack in giving our lives entirely over to Him.  Stephen exhorts us tonight to surrender absolutely with a whole heart to our creator.

Rather than continue to feed the new creation that God has given us with the food of the old man, we must rather be nurtured with spiritual food.  Truly, the land to which God leads us is not like the land from which we have gone out.

If we truly have faith in God we must be like our forefathers who greeted the promise from far off.

In Billy's absence, Brother Jed Smock preaches on sexual purity.  He begins by reading the story of Amnon and Tamar with commentary. Then he moves into several powerful New Testament passages.

Continuing on from Chad's sermon last week, Billy preaches about Abraham's faith.  This faith is an encouragement to us to press on to pursue after God in the things that he has called us to.  Even when we are ignorant of the whys and hows, God's plan is perfect and his call on our life is the most effective means by which we can bring his restoration to the earth.

First Chad walks us through the basic steps of a character study.  The notes on these steps can be found here.  Then he demonstrates this method with the life of Abraham focusing on his faith.

Billy covers the ins and outs of a topical Bible study.  He begins by explaining the ways in which topical studies go beyond the word study and vary from the word study in purpose.  He then describes some resources, such as Nave's Topical Bible.  Finally he illustrates these principles using again the theme of faith.

Billy covers the basics of how to do a word study.  He uses the word 'faith' as an example and demonstrates how we can come to a much deeper understanding of biblical truth by letting scripture define its own terms.

As part of the summer series of bible study and prayer, Billy gives an overview of several different ways to study the bible and describes what is entailed in each.  This teaching sets the course for the next several teachings which will focus on each type of bible study individualy.
